Warlord Aldebaran Plot

The five countries of Ara Alnair have maintained a state of relative peace for several generations past; coexisting, trading, and sharing with each other the natural resources their respective lands had to offer. Though Ara Alnair has seen many ancient wars, Each country's leader had never seen the face of war, and and has enjoyed ruling in such a state of agreement.

In Zaheran, deep within the Golden City of Alcos, a leader with a different approach to foreign relations has come to power. Lord Ramose Aldebaran over threw the late bureaucratic rule of Zaheran and has looked at the surrounding countries and decided they would be vastly improved if they were waving his banner. Aldebaran has begun to gather his forces. It is only a matter of time before he begins his campaign to conquer the other four nations.

Now all of Ara Alnair must decide whether to join Aldebaran's forces and accept his rule, or protect their own nation from his invading hand.

Aldabaran is the leader of Zaheran and therefore, he will function as the main antagonist. He envisions a unified world-empire. He sincerely believes that the world will be more prosperous if it were under his control and he is driven by a sheer desire to be successful.

How will your character react to Aldebaran and his plans?
Aldebaran is the creator, so he will react quite joyfully to his own side's plans. He will greatly despise those who try to ruin those plans and most likely try to run them down. Aldabaran will do all in his power to maintain control. There is talk that he is even thinking of allowing the Black hand to live in his city unchallenged as long as they do his bidding first and foremost.

How would you like your character to contribute to the plot?:
Leah is a slave in Aldebaran's palace. She was forced into slavery after Aldebaran took over Alcos and overthrew the Zaheran bureaucracy. She absolutely despises her place as a slave in society, but she is too afraid to attempt to do anything about it. On top of this, Leah holds a stark resemblance to Aldebaran's "deceased" wife Rachel which in many ways gives her the upper hand with Ramose and may allow her to rise in the slave ranks by playing the 'pity card'. Leah is also starting to become a close friend to Saer, Ramose's son, even though their ranks should keep their friendships apart. Leah may help in being the key to Aldebaran's unwinding.

How will your character react to Aldebaran and his plans?
Leah absolutely despises what Aldebaran has done to her and would not like his despotic rule to encompass the world of Ara Al Anair. If she could ever learn directly of his plans, Leah could become a sizable threat to Aldebaran. She may be afraid to leave the palace, but if things go too far, or if she learns of anything that can stop the Warlord's plans, she will not hesitate to take a chance. Leah is waiting for the opportune moment to break her years of vigilance as a slave.

How would you like your character to contribute to the plot?:
Kia is an established member of the Black Hands Guild, and her word could be influential to the miscreants of Ara Alnair. She will help form the Grey Hoods Guild, a branch off of the Black Hands that does not agree with being Lord Aldebaran's lackeys. The Grey Hoods will be key players in the rebellion against Ramose.

How will your character react to Aldebaran and his plans?
Kia does not so much care about who rules what country, but how they rule. She would not mind if Ramose gained control of all the countries, but the fact that he rules by limiting the freedom of his subject is what akes her against Ramose. She is strongly opposed to slavery, and also does not gree with his close relationship to the Black Hands,

How would you like your character to contribute to the plot?:
After meeting Warlord Aldebaron in a low point in his life, Rayan accepts an offer to command a warship for Aldebaron. He helps in Ramose's path of conquest until the warlord sets his sights on Corra. Ryan then realizes that he cannot betray his country and steals (with the help of the newly formed grey hoods guild) his ship and a few others from Aldebaron's navy. He then returns to his own country and joins in the fight to bring the warlord down.

How will your character react to Aldebaran and his plans?
He deals with it by thinking detached. He looks at Aldebaron's plans without thinking of the people it will hurt, and sees it as a great opportunity to unite the land and bring about a great change for Ara Alnair. But once he comes to his senses and begins to think not in terms of the ends justifying the means, he does not agree.
