Miaplacidus is the larger of the two floating islands of Alari, and is the country's center of commerce. The city can be anchored, but for the most part it floats free along the eastern trade currents. There are many smaller platforms tethered to each other by thick cords, and there are small boats that shuttle people from platform to platform.
